First of all, yes, I'm alive.

I took a week long retreat to Los Angeles last week, and the morning after, I met up with some friends to take part in the AIDS Walk 2008. 25 person minimum per team to participate, no minimum amount to fundraise, for a walk through Central Park and the Upper West Side.
We had a lot of fun, despite the fact that it took 4 hours to walk six miles (there were so many people it took us 45 minutes to squeeze past the starting line). Luckily the weather held out for most of the walk, only cooling us off in the last mile.

It is an amazing cause, and I feel lucky to have participated! It was really inspiring and refreshing to see so much support for the fight against HIV/AIDS, and it felt really good to be surrounded by people who were just as passionate about the cause as I am. Just as good as crossing the finish line (see right)!
